Last week we were with some friends on Classic Dourbie and our plan was to make the integral to St Jean de Bruel. 17 km of Class IV V never stop in magnificent gorges and as Dourbie takes a long time and we do not know the last part after the bubble mess, so we decided to do it independently on two days. The first part until
bazaar was super nice bubble water, then we continued for nearly an hour after the B to B, the first chaos of this section is rather crappy and "maybe" impassable with little water, then have fine lines and passages in class III IV of the rock, then we found a spot 4 stars for the camp ... Some chestnuts roasted over a wood fire, a Chinese soup, tea and sleep, because we still have eight miles to go ...
Always the same background, we continue the eight miles of beautiful sequences III IV rapids with a few dishes and a fine passage technical V.
It could have been the full in a day but the fact of doing that on two days with a night in the open around a fire, is quite nice. It is true that if the weather conditions were not good we could always go back on foot, leaving the boats near the river, as they did in the 70s.
bad there is not more info on this game because if you're out of the first groove smoothly, the second is a treat but watch anyway to 2-3 passages unhealthy.
Here's the video of this little journey:
