The applicant, Sead Jusic, is a citizen of Bosnia-Herzegovina was born in 1971 and lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, where his asylum application was rejected. Relying in particular Article 5 § § 1 and 5 (right to liberty and security), he appealed to the Court January 16, 2006 and alleged that his detention for 22 days for his expulsion was illegal.
The applicant was represented by K. Povlakic, a lawyer at Legal Aid Department to Exiles (SAJE) in Lausanne.
